INTERBEING
The Body and The Weave
24 - 26 Oct 2025
This edition is a multi-sensory and somatic retreat taking place at our family home Monte da Orada, a retreat center nestled in the hills of Alentejo, Portugal.
We gather in community to tune into the quiet intelligence of the body and the rich threads of interconnection. Through stillness, movement, breath, writing, chanting, and tactile experiences like contemplative weaving, we will open space for sensing, feeling, and remembering ourselves in relation to everything that surrounds and holds us.
What is Interbeing — Interser?
Reflection on interbeing (pratītyasamutpāda) helps dissolve the illusion of separateness. Interbeing, a word coined by Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, is the truth that “nothing stands alone - everything interweaves with everything else. Everything inter-is'“.
Interbeing can be seen when we slow down enough to observe any part of our human experience. The body demonstrates interbeing with every breath. Relationships with others help us experience interbeing. We are in the constant exchange between our bodies and the natural world.
Meditation and yoga are all about feeling interbeing. Through them, we learn to inter-be gracefully with the self and to realise that there is no place where our consciousness ends and the world begins. In this way, the illusion of separateness gently dissolves, giving way to the truth of intimacy: we are not only connected to one another, but we are interdependent with all of life.
Over three days, we will slow down to restore a more fluid way of being. This retreat is open to all levels of experience and is designed for those who long to inhabit their presence with more authenticity, depth, and joy.
You’ll be invited into somatic explorations, yoga, qigong, community rituals, chanting with harmonium, and moments of shared reflection. A space to tend to your body, recalibrate your inner rhythm, and reweave your relationship to what is essential.
Andre, you were a powerful yet gentle guidance and I truly appreciate your hard work. You gave everything this weekend so that we could receive. You have my admiration for that. I am grateful for spending my birthday with you and the borboletas coloridas you surrounded yourself with.

Breath awareness & Pranayama to expand your capacity and deepen the familiarity with your inner landscape.
Morning Ayurvedic routines to anchor the body and support gentle rituals of care.
Yoga & Meditation
Vinyasa Flow Yoga (all levels), guided with presence and attention to detail.

GUEST FACILITATORS
Nuno Dâmaso — Qigong & Energetic Awareness
QiGong teacher and TCM practitioner with years of experience in East-Asian movement systems.
Nuno will guide gentle and powerful morning sessions focused on cultivating internal energy, rooted presence, and fluidity of movement through Qigong. These practices awaken vital energy and harmonize the nervous system, preparing the body-mind for deeper connection.
Janis Dellarte — Textile Rituals & Collective Weaving
Textile artist and researcher of traditional TEXTILE techniques on the verge of extinction. JANIS brings to this retreat a large wooden circular loom, a physical and symbolic tool for weaving in community. Her contemplative workshop is a tactile, poetic journey through textures, colors and ancestral gestures. By weaving together, we honour the hands of those who came before, and step into the slow, analog, communal rhythm she calls “textile time”. A space for active meditation, story, and remembrance.
Integration & Community
Sacred sound and chanting with my harmonium, to share the vibrational language of mantra and kirtan, using the voice as tools for heart-centred presence and collective attunement
Shared rituals of silence, rest and reflection
Spacious afternoons for treatments, nature, connection and deep rest

I just wanted to say thank you for YOUR lovely words – that is so kind of you to say that. I found it invaluable, and both you and Jana have given me much more confidence to actually start thinking of myself as a potential teacher rather than just a student.
